Overview
This LiTime battery has a rated capacity of 165 Ah at 12.8 V nominal voltage. Its rated energy is 2112 Wh. It uses LiFePO4 cells. The manufacturer offers it for boats and motorhomes.
Features
- Self-heating: a built-in heater warms the cells so the battery can be charged in sub-zero temperatures.
- Ingress protection IP67: dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion.
Runtime and charging
- At a steady 500 W load, the rated energy lasts about 4 h. An inverter and the cabling add losses, so plan with a margin.
- Continuous discharge: up to 150 A, about 1920 W at nominal voltage. Keep inverters and other loads below this.
- Short peaks of up to 1200 A are allowed for 5 s, for example while a motor or an inverter starts.
- At the recommended charge current of 33 A, charging from empty takes roughly 5 h.
- The maximum charge current is 150 A.
Installation
- Fit a fuse or circuit breaker close to the positive terminal and size the cables for 150 A of continuous current.
