Overview
This LiTime battery has a rated capacity of 100 Ah at 51.2 V nominal voltage. Its rated energy is 5120 Wh. It uses LiFePO4 cells.
Features
- Ingress protection IP65: dust-tight and protected against water jets.
Runtime and charging
- At a steady 500 W load, the rated energy lasts about 10 h. An inverter and the cabling add losses, so plan with a margin.
- Continuous discharge: up to 100 A, about 5120 W at nominal voltage. Keep inverters and other loads below this.
- Short peaks of up to 280 A are allowed for 5 s, for example while a motor or an inverter starts.
- At the recommended charge current of 20 A, charging from empty takes roughly 5 h.
- The maximum charge current is 100 A.
Installation
- Fit a fuse or circuit breaker close to the positive terminal and size the cables for 100 A of continuous current.
- Charge it at 57.6 V with a LiFePO4-compatible charger. For mains power see AC–DC battery chargers; for charging from a vehicle alternator see DC–DC battery chargers.
- It is a deep-cycle battery: do not use it to start an engine unless the manufacturer rates this model for starting.
