This WattCycle battery has a rated capacity of 314 Ah at 25.6 V nominal voltage. Its rated energy is 8038 Wh. It uses LiFePO4 cells.
Features
- Bluetooth: monitor the battery in the manufacturer’s smartphone app.
- Cycle life stated by the manufacturer: 15,000 cycles.
- Ingress protection IP65: dust-tight and protected against water jets.
Runtime and charging
- At a steady 1000 W load, the rated energy lasts about 8 h. An inverter and the cabling add losses, so plan with a margin.
- Continuous discharge: up to 300 A, about 7680 W at nominal voltage. Keep inverters and other loads below this.
- At the recommended charge current of 62.8 A, charging from empty takes roughly 5 h.
Installation
- Fit a fuse or circuit breaker close to the positive terminal and size the cables for 300 A of continuous current.
- Charge it with a LiFePO4-compatible charger at the voltage the manufacturer specifies. For mains power see AC–DC battery chargers; for charging from a vehicle alternator see DC–DC battery chargers.
- It is a deep-cycle battery: do not use it to start an engine unless the manufacturer rates this model for starting.
